Departure and Arrival Details
Snowy Range Tours runs a courtesy bus from near Narre Warren
Railway Station (on the main Melbourne/Pakenham line), with departure
time at precisely 5.30pm. There will be a pick-up at Officer, Pakenham,
Nar Nar Goon, Bunyip, Robin Hood Hotel, Warragul, Yarragon, Trafalgar,
Moe, Morwell, Traralgon, Rosedale (along the Princess Highway),
and at Heyfield and Licola. A bus timetable will be sent out with
confirmation upon receiving deposit. It is necessary for you to
ring and book a seat on the bus, as seats are limited. At the conclusion
of the ride, groups are returned to Narre Warren at approximately
7.30pm.
Any alcohol required must be obtained prior to the tour beginning.
Meals are not provided on the night of departure. However, if travelling
on the courtesy bus a scheduled stop is made to purchase dinner.
Failure to meet departure time results in finding your own transportation
to Bennison High Plains (map to Bennison/Higgins Hut included in
brochure). Participants may also choose to make their own way to
Higgins Hut, Bennison High Plains (map enclosed in brochure).
Note: The Gate to the Hut opens at 5pm the
night before departure. No meals are provided on the night before
departure on any ride.
Fly-in Information
If you are flying into Melbourne you may arrive at Tullamarine or Avalon Airport. Buses run from both airports to the Southern Cross railway station. From there you can take a train to Narre Warren Station (which is on the Pakenham line). Travel time between stations is 45 minutes. The Snowy Range Tours courtesy bus will meet you at Narre Warren. Please allow 3 hours from airport arrival to pick-up point at Narre Warren.
Note: In some cases pick up from Narre Warren is not possible and guests may be asked to take the train further out on the same line to Traralgon or Rosedale to meet the courtesy bus.
